Some mornings are worth waking up early for.
Chasing marlin offshore. Fishing the coast with the family. Or just spending a great morning on the water. Cabo has a fishing day for you — we'll help you find it.
There's fishing. And then there's fishing in Cabo.
Out here, the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. A day on the water can mean a shot at a legendary big-game fish, a relaxed coastal outing, or a first catch you'll talk about long after the vacation ends.
And you don't need to know the difference between a panga and a sportfisher to get started. That's our job.
Start with the kind of day you want. We'll work backward to the right boat.
Who’s coming? How experienced are you? Do you want to chase something big or keep things easy? The answers matter more than the biggest boat in the marina.
What does your perfect fishing day look like?
From chasing big game offshore to casting your first line, the right fishing experience starts with the kind of day you want to have.

Plan my private charter →Inshore or offshore?
Neither is automatically better. They're different fishing experiences — and choosing the right one makes all the difference.
Inshore fishing
Closer to the coastline, often with shorter runs and lighter tackle. A great direction to explore for casual anglers, families, and anyone who wants more time fishing near shore.
- Typically closer to land
- Can be a good fit for shorter outings
- Target species depend on season and conditions
- Trip comfort depends on vessel and weather
Offshore & big game
Head into deeper waters with the possibility of encountering powerful pelagic fish. Ideal for people who want the thrill of the hunt and are comfortable committing more time to the experience.
- May involve longer runs and more open water
- Often targets marlin, tuna, dorado, and wahoo
- Half-day and full-day options vary by operator
- No particular species or catch is guaranteed
Not sure which fits your group? We'll help you figure it out →
The best fishing trip isn't always the biggest boat.
The right experience depends on who's fishing, how serious everyone is, how much time you want on the water, and what kind of memories you're hoping to make.
Rather than pushing whichever charter happens to be available, we help narrow down the options and match the trip to the people taking it.

Different boats, crews, and trips make sense for different people. We'll help match the experience to your goals — not just a boat listing.

Every boat and trip is different, but here's the general rhythm of a Cabo fishing day.
Meet your crew
Arrive at the designated marina or meeting point, check in, and get familiar with the boat and safety guidance.
Find the water
Your captain chooses a route based on your trip type, conditions, and current fishing information.
Enjoy the chase
Depending on the charter, your crew may use trolling, live bait, or other techniques. Every day unfolds differently.
Bring home the story
Return to the marina with new memories. Catch handling and any fish processing depend on local rules and your charter.
Good questions make for great fishing days.
We'll help confirm the details of the specific charter before you commit.
What's usually included in a fishing charter?
It depends on the boat and operator. Crew, fishing tackle, bait, drinks, meals, licenses, and marina fees may be included or charged separately. We'll show you what's included in the actual option you choose.
Do I need a fishing license?
Fishing licenses are generally required for people fishing in Mexican waters. Some charter operators arrange them and others charge separately. We'll confirm how licenses are handled for your specific trip.
Is a half-day enough, or should I book a full day?
A half-day can be a great introduction or fit for a relaxed outing. A full day can offer more flexibility to travel and pursue particular fishing grounds. The right choice depends on your goals, season, and boat.
Can beginners and kids go fishing?
Many charters welcome beginners and families, but age limits, safety requirements, vessel comfort, and trip suitability vary. Tell us who's coming and we'll help identify appropriate options.
What fish can I catch in Cabo?
Depending on the season and conditions, Cabo waters are known for marlin, tuna, dorado, wahoo, and a variety of coastal species. Fishing is never a guarantee, and your captain will advise on what's realistic for your date.
What about seasickness, weather, and cancellations?
Open-water conditions vary, especially offshore. If motion sickness is a concern, tell us before booking. Weather decisions, rescheduling, refunds, and cancellation policies are specific to each charter and should be confirmed before payment.
Can we keep the fish?
Mexican fishing regulations, species restrictions, catch limits, and conservation practices apply. Some species are subject to special protections or catch-and-release practices. We'll confirm the relevant rules and the charter's fish-handling policy.
What should we bring?
Sun protection, a hat, non-slip footwear, any personal medication, and a light layer are sensible starting points. Your booking details will specify whether to bring food, beverages, towels, or other items.
We're not here to sell you whatever boat happens to be on the page.
Tell us who's going, what kind of fishing interests you, how serious you want to get, and what kind of day sounds good. We'll help sort through the options and find something that actually fits your Cabo.
What's biting, and when?
Different seasons bring different opportunities. Explore the calendar by species, or choose your travel month to see what could be worth targeting.
